Writing

I have written a number of novels that are in various states of completion and publication. As I write there are some themes that seem to be appearing in my work:
  • Keep the story moving, let the writing flow and edit down later.
  • People in the books should be real, perfection in a hero is just annoying.
  • Violence and sex have their place, add them for excitement but don't overdo it.
  • Emotion and tragedy are all well and good but my books are supposed to be fun to read, don’t dwell.
This appears to be my native style and, I think, results in some good books. There are some technology references, some rants about things that annoy me, the politics are liberal but not rammed down you and there is no swearing or blasphemy.

I am a man, but I hope they are readable by women too, my wife and mum enjoy them, removing anything too techy or boring as they edit them.

Why not read one, I am trying to keep them well priced and available to everyone I can reach. I want people to read them rather than make money. I don’t really expect to make any real money anyway (O;

Xen's Gift

Completed and available on Amazon as Kindle or Paperback and many other electronic and actual stores as I am also distributing through Ingram Spark.

This is my first novel, it is a psychological adventure with a hint of magic that already has a good couple reviews. I like it and it has received a lot of good feedback from various readers. Check it out, I have made it as affordable as I can and I hope you enjoy it.

Killing Instinct

Completed and available on Amazon as Kindle or Paperback and many other electronic and actual stores as I am also distributing it through Ingram Spark.

Ego is my second book and I think, better for it. It is the story of a murderer, the policeman who chases him and the man who sees him.

Are you Game?

Currently going through the final edit, I am planning to make this available in the same formats and stores as the other two.

This book is more psychology and more murder, this time with a technological thread running through the tale. A group of friends playing in the Canadian wilderness, what could go wrong?  First impressions are that this is my best yet, they seem to just keep getting better (O;

Tom

Finished but not sure I want to progress with this, not totally happy with it...

A bit of a departure as the leading character is a woman now. No murder, no police. There is drama though, there is some suspense and a little crime. It's more about the sin we all commit though, the crimes inside that are sometimes okay. Sometimes they are not.

Pwr

Started and looking good so far...

This is another adventure thriller as they seem the most fun to write and the best for people to read. It is about a person who suddenly has a lot of power and a chance to change the world. What would you do? What he does is hopefully compelling...

Big Gam

15% completed, still deciding on central thread
Despite my decision while writing Xen to not have any series, I had always intended Gām to be a trilogy. This being the second. The Gām has expanded, is there any hope for the rest of us?

Ink

5% completed, Not happy with the concept
Started then stopped. This is the story of the end of the world. The man living between two sets of survivors. His only method of communication is his ability to write, the ink if his story stains his fingers black as he tries to survive this hostile new planet.
